Dear friends! Do you still remember your first English teacher?

You may say:“ Yes.” Everyone has his teachers, in my mind, I'll never forget her ------my first English teacher Ms. Li. Without her, I wouldn't be standing here. She is a young and lovely lady with beautiful eyes. Her voice sounds sweet and she speaks English very well. That was the first impression she left on us when she first gave us an English lesson.

In her class, she taught us carefully and patiently. She always made opportunities for us to speak English. She gave us many beautiful pictures to talk on them, played games with us and told us many interesting stories. Little by little, I had interest in English, but English was a new subject to me, I had many difficulties in learning it well. I often felt very confused. It was Ms. Li who helped me to find ways to overcome my difficulties. She helped me to practice speaking English everyday. She always encouraged me whenever I lost heart. She helped me to have confidence in myself. She gave me what I needed, courage, confidence, good ways to learn English and opportunities to speak English in class. So I was grateful for her. Maybe I can't meet her again. The only thing I can give her is my best wishes. I wish my dear teacher happiness, good health and good luck. And I also want to say to her: Thank you, Ms. Li. I love you!

students, guests , teachers and honorable judges good morning ! my great pleasure to share my dream with you today.

my dream is to become a teacher… as the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in our life. i don't expect complete freedom, which is impossible. i simply have a dream that supports my life. i dream that one day, i could escape from the deep sea of thick schoolbooks and lead my own life. with my favorite fictions, i lie freely on the green grass, smelling the spring, listening to the wind singing, breathing the fresh and cool air and dissolve my soul in nature at last. simple and short enjoyment can bring me great satisfaction. i dream that one day the adults could throw their prejudice of comic and cartoon away. they could keep a?

lovely heart that can share sorrow and happiness with us while watching cartoon or doing personal things. that's the real communication of heart to heart. i have the belief that my dreams should come true. i am looking forward to some day coming when i am like a proud eagle, which flies to the blue and vast sky.

  Turn Exercise into Fun

  Doing exercise…

  Having fun…

When having to make a choice most people think they have to choose between the two. Far too often people go for the latter and naturally choose fun. For instance many people would prefer watching television, or more commonly known as TV to exercising, we all know that it's true, right? The problem is, if you don't exercise you will become weak and ultimately out of shape and it is no fun to be out of shape, right? So the question is, why not turn exercise into fun?

As an example, if TV is your favorite thing to do, why not connect your TV set to an electric generator that is charged by a stationary bike, you know, the kind of bike you peddle, that doesn't go anywhere. So think about it, the more you watch TV, the fitter you'll be.

Now if you are the kind of person who thinks listening to music is fun and you spend many hours alone tap tap tapping your fingers and your toes to the beat, why not take it one step further and get up on your feet and dance, dance, dance.

Or maybe you're the type of person who prefers being with your friends. There are many ways one could have fun with their pals. For instance you could just hang out and do nothing or better yet you could get into a friendly game of basketball or football there is no rule that says everyone has to be as good as Yao Ming or David Beckham, right?

However sometimes there just aren't enough players, or you may even be alone in which case you could go for a ride on your bike, maybe, stop by the library to borrow a book, or go for a walk around the park and enjoy the sunshine and scenery. Before you know it, you're having fun.

Let's face it, exercise is work and when we think of work we think of thankless underpaid hardships yet it needn't be this way, if we think of exercise as fun.

Long ago in a small, faraway village, there was a place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors. A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he hounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and firendly. As he left the House, he thought to himself, "This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often." In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door. When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again." the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams. However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it. Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.

Good morning teachers and fellow students. Today we would like to introduce a few favorite books to you.

My favorite book is (Italian: Cuore). This is a diary written by an Italian boy Eico. The diary is about his life and study. It included various touching stories that happened around Eico, the mottos taught by his parents, as well as the wonderful ten "monthly" stories told by his teacher during the class. Every word in the chapter describes the word "love". From patriotism to friendship, and to the love between parents and child -- really touching.

This novel taught me how to love, and how to learn from love. I really like this book very much. How about you? )so when i sitting at the computer desk,he will say something like ‘you should pay more attention to your study’, ‘don’t waste time on the computer games, ‘it will be bad for your eyes’ and so on. how can i- a computer fan ? reduce time on computer? so i continue studying and playing on it

Years pasted, my father is over 45 now. it is time for me to look after him and i am sure i will do and we will live an even better life. and i will say,i really love you dad, cause you are the hero in my mind.

  Thank you so much!

  Attitude

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts.

It is more important than the past, than education, than

  money,thancircumstances, than failures,than successes,than what the other peoplethink,say,or do.

It is more important than the appearance, the giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company,a church ,a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day, regarding the attitudewe will embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past.We cannot change the fact that people will act ina certain way.We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing we can do is play on the one stage we have. And that is ourattitudes.

I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me ,and ninetypercent how I react to it.And so it is with you. We are in charge of our attitudes.

I speak tonight for the dignity of man and the destiny of democracy. I urge every member of both parties, Americans of all religions and of all colors, from every section of this country, to join me in that cause. At times history and fate meet at a single time in a single place to shape a turning point in man's unending search for freedom. So it was at Lexington and Concord. So it was a century ago at Appomattox. So it was last week in Selma, Alabama. There, long-suffering men and women peacefully protested the denial of their rights as Americans. Many were brutally assaulted. One good man, a man of God, was killed. There is no cause for pride in what has happened in Selma. There is no cause for self-satisfaction in the long denial of equal rights of millions of Americans. But there is cause for hope and for faith in our democracy in what is happening here tonight. For the cries of pain and the hymns and protests of oppressed people have summoned into convocation all the majesty of this great government -- the government of the greatest nation on earth. Our mission is at once the oldest and the most basic of this country: to right wrong, to do justice, to serve man. In our time we have come to live with the moments of great crisis. Our lives have been marked with debate about great issues -- issues of war and peace, issues of prosperity and depression. But rarely in any time does an issue lay bare the secret heart of America itself. Rarely are we met with a challenge, not to our growth or abundance, or our welfare or our security, but rather to the values, and the purposes, and the meaning of our beloved nation. The issue of equal rights for American Negroes is such an issue. And should we defeat every enemy, and should we double our wealth and conquer the stars, and still be unequal to this issue, then we will have failed as a people and as a nation. For with a country as with a person, "What is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" There is no Negro problem. There is no Southern problem. There is no Northern problem. There is only an American problem. And we are met here tonight as Americans -- not as Democrats or Republicans. We are met here as Americans to solve that problem. This was the first nation in the history of the world to be founded with a purpose. The great phrases of that purpose still sound in every American heart, North and South: "All men are created equal," "government by consent of the governed," "give me liberty or give me death." Well, those are not just clever words, or those are not just empty theories. In their name Americans have fought and died for two centuries, and tonight around the world they stand there as guardians of our liberty, risking their lives. Those words are a promise to every citizen that he shall share in the dignity of man. This dignity cannot be found in a man's possessions; it cannot be found in his power, or in his position. It really rests on his right to be treated as a man equal in opportunity to all others. It says that he shall share in freedom, he shall choose his leaders, educate his children, provide for his family according to his ability and his merits as a human being. To apply any other test -- to deny a man his hopes because of his color, or race, or his religion, or the place of his birth is not only to do injustice, it is to deny America and to dishonor the dead who gave their lives for American freedom. Our fathers believed that if this noble view of the rights of man was to flourish, it must be rooted in democracy. The most basic right of all was the right to choose your own leaders. The history of this country, in large measure, is the history of the expansion of that right to all of our people. Many of the issues of civil rights are very complex and most difficult. But about this there can and should be no argument. Every American citizen must have an equal right to vote. There is no reason which can excuse the denial of that right. There is no duty which weighs more heavily on us than the duty we have to ensure that right.

  Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind;

it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease.

This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20.

Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.

Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing appetite for what's next and the joy of the game of living.

In the center of your heart and my heart, there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, courage and power from man and from the infinite, so long as you are young.

  When your aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you've grown old, even at 20;

but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there's hope you may die young at 80.

  青春不是年华,而是心境;

  一旦天线倒塌,锐气被冰雪覆盖,玩世不恭、自暴自弃油然而生,几十年方二十,实已垂老矣;

as you slowly open your eyes, look around , notice where the light comesinto your room; listen carefully, see if there are new sounds you can recognize;feel with your body and spirit, and see if you can sense the freshness in theair. yes, yes, yes, it’s a new day, it’s a different day, and it’s a bright day!and most importantly, it is a new beginning for your life, a beginning where youare going to make new desicisions, take new actions, make new friends, and takeyour life to a totally unprecedented level! you know all this is real as long asyou are confident, passionate and committed! and you are confident, you arepassionate, you are committed!

you will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial

expressions, using your body in new ways, approaching new people, and asking new questions.you will live every single day of your life with absolute passion, and you willshow your passion through the words you speak and the actions you take. you willfocus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your life. youwill never succumb to challenges of hardships. you will never waver in yourpursuit of excellence. after all,you are the best, and you deserve the best!

now stand firm and tall, make a fist, get excited, and yell it out: i mustdo it! i can do it! i will do it! i will succeed! i must do it! i can do it! iwill do it! i will succeed! i must do it! i can do it! i will do it! i willsucceed!

But in retrospect, the destruction of my self was so repetitive that I started to see a pattern. The self changed, got affected, broken, destroyed, but another one would evolve -- sometimes stronger, sometimes hateful, sometimes not wanting to be there at all.The self was not constant. And how many times would my self have to die before I realized that it was never alive in the first place?I grew up on the coast of England in the 70s.

My dad is white from Cornwall, and my mom is black from Zimbabwe. Even the idea of us as a family was challenging to most people. But nature had its wicked way, and brown babies were born. But from about the age of five, I was aware that I didnt fit. I was the black atheist kid in the all-white Catholic school run by nuns.I was an anomaly, and my self was rooting around for definition and trying to plug in. Because the self likes to fit, to see itself replicated, to belong. That confirms its existence and its importance. And it is important.

  I have a dream

  Good morning ladies andgentlemen:

Everyone sitting here has his own dream.Martin Luther King’s dream is to let all the Negro slaves not wallow in thevalley of despair; Abraham Lincoln’s dream is to unite all theAmericans. Today I’m proud to say that I have a dream, my dream is to be adiplomat.

If I’m a diplomat, first of all,I’ll devotemyself to the Taiwan issue. The majority of Chinese people stronglyoppose Taiwan’sindependence, because we have been separated from our relations andfriends for more than 50 years. As president Lincoln said: A housedivided against itself cannot stand. So as a diplomat, I will tryto get all the separate families reunited and shorten the distancebetween the hearts of two peoples. Nowadays, China plays animportant economic and political role in the world, soI’m sure thatI’ll be able toconvince big countries such as America, Britain and Russia tosupport our>

Today as the development of the technology people live a much better life than before the average wage is promoted highly. The economy develops at the cost of polluting the environment we can see the pollution everywhere like the river water is dirty the situation is so serious that we must take some action to control the environmental pollution. First we should not throw away the rubbish whenever we have rubbish at hand we should keep the habit to throw it into the dustbin sometimes the garbage can be recycled. Second the government should make some measure to punish the industry which is not deal with the pollution well. With the government’s intervention the businessmen will pay special attention to the pollution and dare not to ignore it. Protecting the environment needs everyone’s effort to ourselves and our offspring’s health we must take action to protect the environment. Stepping into the new century environment pollution has become more serious than ever since. There are different kinds of pollution. Such as water pollution air pollution and noise pollution and so on. It seems that we live on a planet which is full of pollution. where all these pollution comes from? To a large extend the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have more fuel people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street the gas stations are short of gasoline even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control the needs of gasoline but it’s still not working. Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something. The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balancebetween the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way our earth could be a better place to live in.
