　　will be. Here the word wealthy means: enriching our knowledge reserve. As a new generation of science, every one here shouldering the great historical mission of ma-ki-ng china powerful and strong. You may say that this may exaggerate our role, but I want to say you are wrong. If I am a little screw our great dream may be a multifunction and complex machine. Through this example I just want to say I am very tiny but I am indispensable .

　　I believe that as long as all of our university students unite together and perform our own functions that study hard in school and work hard after we graduating from university . we must be able to achieve our great dream meanwhile enrich ourselves unwittingly!

　　Though with time going by，i can still remember what you once told me。Youshould be a brave girl。Smiling，you looked into my eyes。Year in，year out，nearlymost of my memories are fading little by little。But only this simple sentenceremained，without being forgotten in my life。

　　I suddenly think of a song named MY HEART WILL GO ON。There is a beautifulsentence going like this。You are safe in my heart。More than once，i was moved totears by it。I know，i am also safe in your heart。i have already forgotten when itold you i was going to leave for Australia this summer holiday。You just smiledas usual，gently speaking。Whatever you decide to do，i will be in favor of it，but，just onething，remember，when you fell lonely abroad，do not forget we are here，praying for you。We are all around you，far across the distance and space betweenus。i closed my eyes，the flashback started。The memories we had together，once weplayed games on the palyground，we played jokes on each other，you always wrote alot of sentences on my articles to encourage me。And the most unforgetablething，you told me，you believed m i could be a big girl。Sooner or later。

　　At that specific moment，i suddenly understood the meaning of this sentencetotally。So on that day，i smiled as you used to，looking at you。The last words isaid were，keep walking in sunshine。

　　Yes，keep walking in sunshine。I said to you，also to myself。I know i am notalone wiht your pany，and we can keep walking in sunshine till the last minute ofour days。

　　I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.

　　First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”

　　Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.

　　Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

　　I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”

　　For us, I mean the Chinese youth, Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others.

　　At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

　　大家早上好，很高兴今天能站在这里为大家发言，今天我说话的主题是《珍爱生命，健康成长》。

　　世界上什么东西最宝贵呢，有人说是金钱，有人说是时间，但我认为是生命。因为生命只有一次，因为生命承载着希望。

　　生命又是如此的脆弱，有多少人为了图省事而翻越护栏命丧车轮之下？有多少人为了贪图一时之快闯红灯而造成他人殒命？又有多少人因为贪一时之快感而染上毒瘾，最后弄得家庭破碎？因此我们要加倍呵护生命，拒绝一切危害我们健康的事物，快乐健康的成长。

　　这是发生在我们身边的事情：20xx年7月广西灌阳的一位年仅14岁的学生因为过量吸食而死亡，而在今年的5月20日，湖北麻城一男子因吸食精神失常闯入当地一小学持菜刀砍伤8名小学生。这都是因为给带来的后果。听到这些，亲爱的同学们，我们是不是要从他们身上吸取教训，珍惜我们宝贵的生命呢？

　　但是现在，我们身边依然有好多同龄人不听家长的.话，不服从老师的管理和学校的教育。一意孤行，不想学习，把大量的课余时间都浪费掉，沉迷于网络，接触一些不良的信息，和社会上一些不良青年混在一起，这些都会给我们的生命，给我们的健康带来危害。

　　亲爱的同学们，柳树枯了，有再青的时候；桃花谢了，有再开的时候；燕子去了，有再来的时候。然而一个人的生命结束了，却再也没有复活的机会。同学们，我们是国家和民族的未来和希望，我们一定要珍惜青春，为了自己，为了家庭，为了民族，为了国家，请肩负起我们义不容辞的责任，从现在开始，请大家珍爱生命，健康快乐的成长。
