　　every one has his own dream.when i was a little kid ,my dream was even to have a candy shop of my own .but now ,when i am 16 years old ,standing here ,my dreams have already changed a lot.

　　i have got quite different experience from other girls.while they were playing toys at home,while they were dreaming to be the princesses in the story .i was running in the hard rain,jumping in the heavy snow,pitching in the strong wind.nothing could stop me ,because of a wonderful call from my heart -- to be an athlete.yeah ,of course ,i'm an athlete,i'm so proud of that all the time .

　　when i was 10 years old ,i became a shot-put athlete.the training was really hard ,i couldn't bear the heavy shot in my hands .but i always believe that "god only help those who help themselves".during those hard days,i find i was growing more quickly than others of the same age.to be an athlete is my most correct choice.but,i quit my team after entering high school because of a silly excuse.i really didn't want to stop my sports career anyway.

　　today i say to you my friends that even though i must face the difficulties of yesterday ,today and tomorrow .i still have a dream .it is a dream deeply rooted in my soul.

　　good morning everyone, it's my pleasure to be here and talk about dreams and ambitions with you. when i was a primary school student i wrote in my composition that i want to be a scientist when i grow up. at that age i didn't know what is a scientist, nor did i know what is dream. i wrote it because it's a standard answer for a composition test. and i know if i wrote that i want to be a peasant i would be criticized and laughed at, no matter what reason i gave it. but now in university, one of my classmates changed my idea. at the career planning class when asked about our dreams, one of my classmates stood up and said, " i want to be a peasant because i grow up in a peasant family and i love it." no laughter, no criticism, he was the only who winned a clapping.

　　it sets me thinking, which should be a man's dream? a scientist, or a peasant? it's not a simple question and my answer is both. this is exactly my understanding of this topic. dreams are something we really want and are willing to try every effort to achieve, no matter how great or how small, no matter how others think, it depends on you.

　　life is long, and we are just on the starting point. finally we'll understand life is not just about making a living. there're something much more important than money and material enjoyment, that is spiritual wealth, that is dream. it's the process of your pursuit of dream, the process when you are trying, when you are seeking, when you are struggling, when you failed and restarted again and again with your determination, hardwork, and perseverance that make you, build you, and help you to lead a worthy and significative life, whether you'll achieve your dream or not, the result is not that important.

　　as we know, you have to learn how to fly much more independently instead of under your parentssquo; considerate protection when you get into college, which also means you will come across enormous questions that should be solved by yourself. from my point of view, those main problems can fall into three parts.

　　first of all, the complicated relationship. for one thing, you have to know how cultural differences function in your relationship and respect them. in addition, college students spend less time studying together owing to different coursessquo; choosing, which requires us to devote more energy to building relationship. for the other thing, it is also vital to communicate with your parents often by using mobile phones or other tools.

　　secondly, the temptations. the college serves us a more relaxed environment mixed with other temptations such as the internet, alcohols and so on. whatsquo;s more, the college teachers wonsquo;t compel you to study like before, you doze off or play cell phone in class, and you flee up the morning class because you get up too late. such too frequent behaviors will cripple your passion and enthusiasm towards life, so it is essential for us to resist these temptations and insist pursuing our own goals.

　　thirdly, the balance between study and work. most of us will choose to take a part time job to earn the extra money or just to exercise ourselves. but it is significant to keep a relatively balanced relationship between them since i always regard the study as our main task, so my principle is adjusting work to follow the schedule of study.

　　back in the years when i was only six years old or so, i had my first taste of english. it seemed very strange to me. at the very beginning, i was not so interested in this strange language. moreover, the english tv program always took time away from my cartoon shows. as a result, i started to hate english.

　　time flies. things completely changed at the end of my primary school life. in the last exam of the whole primary school period, i did so well in english that i got a full mark. i found that i could do a perfect in english if i put my heart on it. this exam seems to be a turning point on my road of studying english and has really inspired me. although there are still many challenges waiting for me, these setbacks won’t hurt my confidence and will push me to study harder.
